Red.Lined es una organización sin fines de lucro registrada en North Providence, Rhode Island. tenemos una misión simple: aumentar el acceso a los suministros de higiene menstrual en las comunidades más vulnerables de Rhode Island. 

 

En 2020, un encuentro casual con una mujer que experimentaba inseguridad de vivienda reveló una verdad simple: el acceso a tampones y otros productos de higiene menstrual está obstruido en comunidades vulnerables debido al costo, la disponibilidad y la portabilidad.

 

Los productos de higiene menstrual son prohibitivamente caros (gravados a nivel estatal en muchos casos), y su empaque a granel puede dificultar la justificación del costo, especialmente si los fondos o el espacio son limitados. Además, la menstruación se estigmatiza injustamente y quienes necesitan suministros de higiene menstrual se enfrentan a juicios o burlas, lo que puede generar sentimientos de vergüenza y vergüenza.

 

Esto nos hizo pensar: ¿quién más podría pasar sin suministros menstruales y cómo podemos ayudar a aumentar el acceso a los suministros y crear conciencia sobre la importancia de los productos de higiene para la salud mental?


Actualmente prestamos servicios a todas las escuelas de North Providence, así como a algunas escuelas con necesidades especiales. incluyendo la Escuela para Sordos de RI. Siempre estamos interesados en asociarnos con nuevas ubicaciones que apoyen nuestra misión y la comunidad a la que servimos.

Holiday Helper

This program will help a North Providence family during the holiday season. fundraising makes it possible for gift giving and assuring that the chosen family is provided for. At this time we utilize moms of marieville as a vessel for this program

Book Boxes

We believe that access to educational and reading materials is pivotal to both children and adults.  We collect a variety of books to known book boxes in north providence. occasionally supply red.kits through the these locations

Clothing Drive

Red.Lined collects clothing ongoing. We have partnered in the past with big brothers and big sister of Rhode Island and Savers. Both of these locations are professional fundraisers. this means that the clothing does not go directly to the needy, but instead is sold to fund our programming.

Buy Nothing Day Coat Exchange

We are happy to have participated two years in this amazing initiative. Using our ongoing clothing drive we save and pass on coats, jackets, gloves, hats and scarves to this amazing group. Coats are distributed on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, typically on the steps of the Rhode Island State house.
