First Period is designed to keep kids in school, provide dignity during their menstrual cycle

and empower them to do great things.

THIS IS A SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL LED PROGRAM.

We are a complement the programs that our schools have already initiated.

Overview

First Period is designed to provide all students with dignity during their menstrual cycle. Female students participating in an initial Nurse or other professionally led class discussion on puberty and period care will be given their own, fun and stylish refillable pouch with 2-3 days worth of maxi pads. We call these “Red Kits” and they will include a Red Lined business card, tag, age appropriate vinyl stickers and occasional additional products (like safe disposal bags).

Participants

School Age Children, age 8-11, 4th or 5th grade, female students participating in the initial Nurse or other professionally led classroom discussion on puberty and period care.

Assembly

Each Red.Kit is hand-packed by dedicated volunteers with a 2-3 day supply of pads, tampons, and/or liners, and topped off with a cute Red.Lined tag featuring an empowering reminder for the user!

We're committed to sustainability, and utilize reusable packaging wherever possible. Whenever feasible (and always for schools and youth shelters!), Red.Kits are packed in refillable and once-loved cosmetic/travel bags (like Ipsy), that are cleaned, disinfected and inspected before being packed.
